History
Since 1981, rd electronic GmbH has been developing electronic data measurement and acquisition systems as well as data management solutions for customers worldwide.
In 1991, the company expanded its services. It established a production facility based in Crimmitschau. From now on, it also acts as a supplier of electronic control units for the automotive industry.
In 1998, rd electronic GmbH was significantly involved in the foundation of the Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems (ASAM).
In 2002, a branch office was opened in Radebeul, which later moved to Dresden.
The sister company rd electronic llc, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, was founded in 2004. In 2012, rd electronic llc was renamed rde data solutions llc to emphasize its expanded offering of data management solutions for its customers.
In 2017, the Crimmitschau production facility moved to a larger building in Zwickau.

appreciate our support in development services and our products for forty years. In particular, but not exclusively, we work with leading automotive OEMs and automotive suppliers in Germany and North America to provide intelligent solutions as hardware and software. The field of alternative or renewable energy and supply is also deeply rooted in our company.
